Element Refrigeration currently has an exciting opportunity for a 3rd yr, 4th yr or Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic within our growing company.

As the Refrigeration Mechanic you will provide high-quality workmanship while servicing equipment in the commercial and industrial environment.

Duties

• Service clients within commercial and industrial environments such as supermarkets, commercial buildings and restaurants, etc.

• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning systems and components

• Install and calibrate related controls (including wiring)

• Maintain clean and operable equipment, vehicle and work area at all times

• Troubleshoot systems, suggesting corrective actions and sourcing parts

• When there is a malfunction, diagnose the problem and fix the unit by replacing or repairing controls, electric wiring or other parts

• Complete the required daily equipment inspections, safety reports, and Field Level Hazard Assessments.

• Other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal)

• High School Diploma

• Experience in supermarket installation and service

• Valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable 5 year driving abstract

• Valid safety certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSTS, PSTS, Fall Protection, AWP, H2S Alive, considered an asset

• Proof of permanent residency

• Gas ticket is an asset
